Scientist

The scientific, in depth approach to mapping soil variation.

Our team of experienced soil scientists use a handheld GPS to accurately log the soil zone boundaries.

Within each soil zone the scientists survey topsoil and subsoil; recording attributes such as soil type, texture, depth, stone content, organic matter, soil available water and calcium carbonate.

Soil zones are labelled using our unique coding system allowing similar soil types to be easily identified across the farm and managed accordingly.
